Healing a Broken Heart with Self-Love

After a devastating breakup, I thought I would never feel desire again. My heart was completely broken. I could not imagine ever trusting someone or feeling safe with them again.
My therapist suggested I focus on myself. She recommended exploring my own pleasure as a form of healing. At first, I thought it was weird. But I was desperate to feel something other than pain.
It felt strange at first. I had associated pleasure with my ex-partner. But slowly, I began to feel like myself again. I learned that I can give myself the love I was looking for from someone else.
The journey was not easy. There were days when I felt like I would never heal. But with time, patience, and my new wellness routine, I emerged stronger and more comfortable with myself than ever before.
Now, I am independent and happy. I no longer need a partner to feel complete. I have learned to love myself first.
