What They Didnt Teach Me in Sex Ed
Chloe D., 24, Graduate Student, Boston
I learned the basics in school: abstinence, condoms, STIs. But nothing about pleasure. Nothing about consent in practice. Nothing about how to communicate with partners. Nothing about my own body.
When I started exploring on my own, I realized how much I had been missing. My education had left me completely unprepared for real life. I did not even know what felt good to me.
Adult products became my private teacher. They helped me understand my body better than any textbook ever could. I learned what I like, what I do not like, and how to communicate that to partners.
Now, I am studying to become a sex educator. I want to help others learn what schools do not teach. Our education system is failing our youth by ignoring this crucial topic.
Pleasure is not shameful. It is a vital part of human health. We need to talk about it more openly.
